OREANDA-NEWS Today, Russia has reached a gasification level of almost 74 percent, Alexander Novak, a candidate for deputy Prime Minister of Russia, said during a speech in the State Duma, TASS reports.
Thus, Russia was ranked first or second in terms of gasification in the world, he added. According to Novak, gasification in the country will continue in new regions, Murmansk, Irkutsk, Amur Regions, Krasnoyarsk Territory, Transbaikalia, Buryatia and the Jewish Autonomous Region.
About 1.2 million contracts have been signed under the social gasification program, 950 thousand of which have been executed up to the boundaries of the sites. 550 thousand households already receive gas under this program.
Earlier it became known that the Russian authorities are going to allocate an additional billion rubles for free gasification of the population. According to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, this money will be sent to 57 regions with low budget provision.
